This Friday night and Saturday is Tu B'Av. It is the full moon in this month of Av. The holiday of Tu B'Av is most hidden holiday but it is the highest and most joyous day of the year if you know how to receive the energy available on this most awesome of days. It is known as the day of love, it is the day to meet and be with the soul mate, to be with one's own soul in a new and deeper way.
Tu B'Av is 40 days before creation of the world, the 25th of Elul.We are
taught that the soulmate is revealed 40 days before one's birth. On this
day, The Holy One ( the Divine Masculine) so to speak, reveals to us His
soulmate, the Shechinah, the Divine Feminine.
In ancient times, it was on Tu B'Av, the full moon of Av, that the dying of
the generation in the desert ceased and all who were alive with the
exception of Moses, were allowed to enter into the Holy Land. Tu B'Av is a
day of forgiveness and purification.
It was on Tu B'Av during the time of the Holy Temple that the young maidens would all dress in white dresses and would dance before the men. They would flirt and with their eyes they would say, " Look at me". And in one look, marriages were made. It is a day for the revelation of the Shechinah, the Divine Feminine on high and in this world."
On Tu B'Av, may we all have the eyes to behold the revelation of the Shechinah on this day. She has been hidden, She has been held captive, She is waiting to be redeemed and revealed. May all those who are married more clearly see the beauty and holiness of their partner. In the clarity of this revelation may it be easy to let go of any pettiness, judgements, fear, and defensiveness that has brought separation and tension between the two of you. May you be privileged to experience the ecstastic joy of making holy unifications in the name of Israel. When we do holy acts with the intention of bringing unification to the Holy One and the Shechinah, the joy of this unification spills over to the whole world.
Finally, may all those who are not yet united with their beloved one have the eyes to see who this person is and the open heart to receive their beloved one into their heart.
